Nickel Plate Road "Berkshire# #765. 2-8-4 Type S-2 Built by Lima 1944 The #765.is maintained and operated by the Fort Wayne Railway Historical Society in New Haven, Indiana. It was one of 80 Lima built Super Power Berkshires that made Nickel Plate a leader in high speed freight service. It was originally donated to the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana for a static display, but has since been rebuilt twice for excursions. Stoddart's artwork starts with a CAD model built from photos. To create the 3-D effect, the CAD model is broken into layers and many individual parts - which are precision cut using laser machines. Our artwork is available in two different sizes both sharing the same level of detail. Our large Wall Art is impressive - its 3-D detail is constructed of layers of painted wood composite material. It hangs easily from a nail or screw on your wall. Our Shadowboxes are an elegant way to display artwork along with the famous railroad logo. Shadowbox models are made using acid-free matboard and are available in either black or cherry frames.
