Pere Marquette "Berkshire# #1225. 2-8-4 Type N-1 Built by Lima 1941 The #1225.is maintained by the Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso, Michigan. It is currently waiting for a major rebuilding. It was one of 39 LIma built Super Power Berkshires that pulled Pere Marquette freight trains across Michigan. It was saved when it was donated to Michigan State University and put on display next to the football stadium. A group of students started the efforts to return it to operation. Stoddart's artwork starts with a CAD model built from photos. To create the 3-D effect, the CAD model is broken into layers and many individual parts - which are precision cut using laser machines. Our artwork is available in two different sizes both sharing the same level of detail. Our large Wall Art is impressive - its 3-D detail is constructed of layers of painted wood composite material. It hangs easily from a nail or screw on your wall. Our Shadowboxes are an elegant way to display artwork along with the famous railroad logo. Shadowbox models are made using acid-free matboard and are available in either black or cherry frames.
