Southern Pacific "Daylight# #4449. 4-8-4 Type GS-4 Built by Lima 1941 The #1225.is maintained and operated by the Friends of SP 4449, in Portland, Oregon. It was one of 70 "GS" class locomotives which powered SP's passenger trains. #4449 was saved when it was sent to Portland for a park display. It was first rebuilt for use in the Bicentennial Freedom Train and has since continued to run in excursion service. Stoddart's artwork starts with a CAD model built from photos. To create the 3-D effect, the CAD model is broken into layers and many individual parts - which are precision cut using laser machines. Our artwork is available in two different sizes both sharing the same level of detail. Our large Wall Art is impressive - its 3-D detail is constructed of layers of painted wood composite material. It hangs easily from a nail or screw on your wall. Our Shadowboxes are an elegant way to display artwork along with the famous railroad logo. Shadowbox models are made using acid-free matboard and are available in either black or cherry frames.
